Vista Hermosa Mezcal

An early-20th-century textile mill sits on the Valle de Etla’s eastern slopes, northwest of Oaxaca, Mexico. Formely known as La Soleda Vista Hermosa, it has been restored as Center de las Artes San Agustin (CaSa). In addition to arts and craft, the center shares a community tradition in mezcal production. In collaboration with artist Francisco Toledo, Vista Hermosa mezcal personifies the spirit of craft, tradition, community and place.
